Every session includes precision, focused soft tissue mobilization around a specific joint or muscle group, as requested.

Cupping & Massage Therapy

Our therapists integrate cupping with massage techniques; we don’t just leave the cups on you and call it day. Heated, smooth stones are used initially to warm up the tissue and calm the nervous system. Stretch Therapy

Feeling tight or restricted? Our stretch therapy sessions help improve flexibility, range of motion, and functional movement. Ideal for athletes, desk workers, and anyone seeking to move more effectively and prevent injury. Your session will elongate muscles while taking pressure off of your joints. Perfect for improving flexibility and relieving tension, especially in hips, hamstrings, and shoulders. This massage is done on the table.

Pregnancy Massage

If you are looking for a deep tissue or sports massage and are also pregnant, then this is the option for you. At Richmond Sports Massage, we don’t believe in treating pregnant women with kid gloves. You are not a delicate flower; you are strong and growing a whole human! Your therapist will discuss which areas you would like targeted and what pressure you prefer. Accommodations will be made for the pregnancy with several pillows, making the side-lying or recumbent position ultra comfortable.

Thai Massage

Your Thai massage therapist, Molly, will initially use herbal compresses to provide heat therapy, warming up the tissue in a gentle and pleasant way. Thai massage techniques involve compression, traction, and gentle stretches that increase range of motion, elongate muscles, and improve general mobility. If you are in need of a soothing, whole-body, grounding, and lengthening session, this session is for you. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for Thai massage, as you will stay dressed for the session, and the massage will be performed on a comfy mat on the ground.
